David Abramson, ESQ.
Sports Law
As chair of Verrill Dana's Sports Law Group, David delivers full-service representation to professional athletes, maximizing the opportunities of our professional athlete clients with aggressive advocacy and advice.
He offers pre-draft advice to amateur high school and collegiate baseball players anticipating a career in professional baseball. For those athletes who are draft eligible, David brings to bear a statewide, regional and national statistical analysis in order to enhance a player's position in the draft and subsequent negotiations with their professional ball club.
His representation of professional baseball players includes contract negotiation together with implementation and enforcement; promoting product endorsements and personal appearances; reviewing investment recommendations and proposals with investment and financial consultants; and insurance, legal and tax matters.
Most importantly, David believes that a successful relationship with his players involves developing and building a trust that enables the athlete to reach full potential on the field while minimizing off-field distractions.
My goal is to get my players to the big leagues.
